Most “exports” still phone home to Framer. Ours doesn’t.

Every image, font, stylesheet, and script is bundled into your own files, and the export carries its own copies so nothing has to be fetched back from Framer. Your site keeps rendering even if Framer deletes it, your account lapses, or the original goes dark.

Is this legal?

You’re exporting your own published site — that’s your content and your right to data portability (GDPR Article 20). Only export sites you own or control. We keep the narrative on ownership, never circumvention.

Does the preview cost anything?

No. The live preview is always free and needs no account. Payment only unlocks the downloadable ZIP.

What happens to my forms and CMS?

Forms are detected and the Migration Kit gives you copy-paste configs (Formspree, Web3Forms, or Resend). CMS collections are exported as JSON so you can rebuild them on any backend.

Can I re-export the same site later?

Yes — re-exporting the same URL is free (subject to fair-use limits).

What might not carry over?

Static content, design, fonts, and assets come over faithfully. Server-side Framer features — form submission backends, password protection — need re-wiring; the Migration Kit is built to help.
