Privacy policy
What we collect when you use unhost.dev, why, and who else handles it. unhost is run by CloudInfinity Technologies LLP, India.
What we collect
- The site you export. The address you submit, and a copy of that public site: its pages, images, fonts and scripts.
- Your email address. Only if you give it to us: to be told when an export is ready, when you pay, or when you sign in.
- Payment records. The payment provider handles your card or bank details. We receive a payment reference, the amount, the currency and your email. We never see your card number.
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, in our server logs and analytics.
How we use it
- To run your export and deliver it: the download link, your receipt and sign-in links.
- To fix problems, for example running a failed export again and telling you when it's ready.
- To send an occasional product update to addresses left with us. Reply to any email, or write to us, and we'll stop.
- To understand how the site is used and to prevent abuse.
We don't sell your data. We look at an exported copy only to provide the service, for example to work out why an export failed.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of other companies to run unhost. Each receives only what it needs:
- Razorpay or Stripe take payments, whichever is shown at checkout.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Google Analytics gives us usage statistics, and sets cookies to do so.
- Anthropic writes the introduction of your export report from a technical summary of the exported site: page and asset counts, the names of detected integrations, form field names, font sources and CMS collection names. No email address or payment detail is sent.
- Sentry receives a technical error report when something breaks.
- Fontshare and Google Fonts serve the fonts on our pages, and see your IP address when they do.
- Our hosting provider runs the servers that store your exports and our database.
Some of these companies process data outside your country.
Cookies
We set two essential cookies: one that remembers your exports and whether you're signed in, and one that protects forms from forgery. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits. You can block those in your browser or with a content blocker, and the site works without them.
Preview links
Every export gets its own page and preview address. They are long and random, but not password protected: anyone who has the link can see the preview. Downloading needs payment or the link from your receipt.
How long we keep it
- Exports you haven't paid for: the files are deleted after 14 days. We keep a record of the address and the outcome.
- Paid exports: kept so your download link keeps working, until you ask us to delete them.
- Email addresses and payment records: kept while we need them to provide the service and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop emailing you. Write to info@unhost.dev and we'll respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act give you these rights, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
When this policy changes we update this page and the date at the top.
